On 8 September 2020, the Act amending the Civil Procedure Code (No.32) B.E. 2563 (the “Act”) was published in the Royal Gazette. The Act will come into force on 7 November 2020. The Act introduces a new legal provision which allows a party to a dispute to request an in-court civil mediation even before a complaint is filed with the court with a view to saving time and resources to be used in civil proceedings for the sake of the economic and social systems.
